Smart inhalers and video visits could transform Kids' asthma care

NCT ID NCT06902766

First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study explores whether using connected inhalers and video doctor visits can manage asthma in children as effectively as standard in-person care. Fifty children aged 4 to 12 with asthma will be split into two groups: one using the digital system and one receiving usual care. The digital system tracks medication use and alerts doctors if a child misses prevention doses or uses rescue inhalers too often, allowing for quick video consultations. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and improves asthma control, quality of life, and healthcare use.
