New app helps people with dementia reconnect with loved Ones' names
NCT ID NCT04570215
Summary
This small study tested a tablet app called 'Gotcha!' designed to help people with mild to moderate dementia who struggle to remember names. Participants used the app at home for daily practice over six weeks, trying to relearn the names of 6-10 important people in their lives. Researchers wanted to see if this digital practice could improve name recall and if any brain changes were related to using the therapy.
