Could cutting food additives calm colitis flares?

NCT ID NCT05743374

Summary

This study is testing whether removing specific food additives (like carrageenan and polysorbates) from the diet can help people with active ulcerative colitis. 70 participants will follow either their normal diet or a special additive-free diet for one month. Researchers will check if this change reduces gut inflammation and improves the balance of gut bacteria.
