Summary

This study looks at how different diets—ketogenic, intermittent fasting, and semi-vegetarian—affect weight, body fat, and metabolism in women with obesity, both alone and with a home exercise program. Over 6 weeks, 108 women aged 19-45 will be split into nine groups to compare results. Researchers will measure changes in weight, BMI, and blood markers like insulin and hormones to find the most effective lifestyle combination.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
dietary interventions (ketogenic, intermittent fasting, semi-vegetarian) and home-based exercise
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show which diet-exercise combination is most effective for weight loss and metabolic health in women with obesity.
What could go wrong
This is a small, short-term study (6 weeks) with 108 participants, so results may not apply to all women or lead to long-term changes.
