Diet showdown: which eating plan really helps obesity?

NCT ID NCT02706262

Summary

This study aims to understand why some people with obesity develop related health problems like diabetes while others stay healthy. Researchers are comparing three popular weight-loss diets—Mediterranean, low-carb, and very-low-fat plant-based—in 180 participants with obesity. The goal is to learn how these diets affect metabolism, inflammation, and overall health to determine which approach works best for different people.
