Could a simple ultrasound replace risky lung pressure probes?
NCT ID NCT07253480
First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study checks if a special ultrasound can measure diaphragm pressure without needles or tubes. Twelve healthy adults will do breathing exercises while researchers compare the ultrasound readings to standard pressure measurements. If successful, this painless method could later help predict complications in lung treatments for COPD patients.
