Breathing breakthrough? new study tests diaphragm stretch for scoliosis
NCT ID NCT07482748
First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding a special diaphragm stretching technique to standard scoliosis exercises can improve breathing, posture, and quality of life in teens with scoliosis. About 42 adolescents will be split into two groups: one doing only the Schroth exercise program, and the other doing Schroth plus diaphragm mobilization. The goal is to see if the extra stretch leads to better lung function and less trunk rotation.
