First seen Apr 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests whether a comprehensive screening program combined with a special exercise regimen can reduce falls, fractures, and heart disease in people aged 65 and older with type 1 or type 2 diabetes. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the exercise program or usual care, and followed for up to 5 years. The goal is to see if this approach can improve bone density, nerve function, and overall cardiovascular health.
