Summary

This study measured three substances in the blood (endocan, alarin, and galanin-like peptide) in people with and without diabetic retinopathy, an eye complication of diabetes. Researchers compared these levels across different stages of the disease and looked at how they relate to eye scan images. The goal was to see if these markers could help identify or track the severity of diabetic retinopathy.
