Common diabetes test may be misleading for millions on arthritis drug
NCT ID NCT07416656
Summary
This study aims to find out if a standard blood test for diabetes (HbA1c) gives false readings in people with inflammatory arthritis who take the drug sulfasalazine. Researchers will compare this standard test with continuous glucose monitors worn by 75 patients to see if diabetes is being missed or poorly managed. The goal is to improve how diabetes is detected and monitored in this specific group of patients.
