Diabetes pill gets surprising test against early lung cancer

NCT ID NCT07235280

Summary

This early safety study is testing whether a diabetes drug called dapagliflozin is safe to give to people with early-stage lung cancer before they have surgery. Researchers want to see if taking the pill for 30 days before the operation helps make the surgery more effective by potentially slowing tumor growth. The study will enroll 48 participants to carefully monitor for side effects and measure changes in the cancer cells.
