Diabetes drug could be key to slowing dementia

NCT ID NCT07083154

Summary

This study is testing if a weekly injection called mazdutide can slow down or improve memory and thinking problems in people who have both type 2 diabetes and early dementia. Over 76 weeks, 420 participants will receive either the active drug or a placebo (dummy injection) to see which group does better on memory tests and brain scans. The goal is to see if this diabetes medication can also help protect the brain.
