First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study aims to find biological markers in the blood that show when insulin-making beta cells are damaged or dying. By comparing people with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, and healthy volunteers, researchers hope to better understand how diabetes starts and gets worse. The goal is to enable earlier diagnosis and guide the development of new treatments. About 165 adults and children will take part.
