Can a simple IV drug prevent post-surgery agitation?

Summary

This study compares two medicines given through a vein—dexmedetomidine and lidocaine—to see which one better prevents confusion and restlessness (called emergence agitation) when waking up from sinus surgery. About 80 adults having planned sinus surgery will take part. The goal is to find a safer, more comfortable recovery.
