Eco-Friendly anesthesia drug could speed up recovery after surgery

Summary

This study tests whether dexmedetomidine, a drug commonly used in intensive care, can replace traditional inhaled anesthetics during urological surgeries. The goal is to keep patients stable during surgery and help them recover faster, while also reducing environmental harm from anesthetic gases. About 150 adults aged 39 and older undergoing specific urological procedures will participate.
