This study looked at whether a sedative called dexmedetomidine, given through a vein, can prevent sudden rises in blood pressure and heart rate when a breathing tube is inserted. It involved 70 adults with controlled high blood pressure who were having planned surgery under general anesthesia. The goal was to see if the drug makes the procedure safer and more stable.
