Summary
This study looked at how a low dose of the sedative drug dexmedetomidine affects pain signals in the brain. Researchers used brain scans to measure changes in fluid flow. 17 healthy adults took part. The goal was to understand the drug's pain-relieving effects, not to test a new treatment.
