Tiny particles packed with steroids could restore hearing
NCT ID NCT07568184
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a single injection of dexamethasone-loaded exosomes into the ear can improve hearing recovery better than standard steroid injections in adults with sudden sensorineural hearing loss. About 30 participants who did not improve with oral steroids will be randomly assigned to receive the experimental treatment, standard steroid injection, or an inactive vehicle. Hearing will be measured over 12 weeks to compare effectiveness and safety.
