Cold rinse vs. steroid: the battle to ease severe toothache pain

NCT ID NCT07233577

Summary

This study tested two methods to reduce pain after a specific dental procedure for a severe, persistent toothache. 72 adults with painful, cavity-damaged molars received the procedure, followed by a final rinse with either a cold saline solution, a steroid (dexamethasone) solution, or a standard rinse. Researchers measured patients' pain levels afterward to see which rinse worked best.
