Summary
This study tests whether giving the steroid dexamethasone early after a severe burn can lower the risk of major complications like lung or kidney failure and death. About 478 adults with burns covering at least 20% of their body and who need a breathing tube will take part. The goal is to see if this treatment can calm the body's overwhelming inflammation and improve outcomes.
