First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests a new device designed to help women with stress urinary incontinence—leaking urine when coughing, sneezing, or exercising. The trial will compare the real device to a sham (fake) device in 96 women over 12 weeks. The main goal is to see if the device reduces urine leakage to less than 1 gram on a pad test.

What this could lead to

If it works, this device could offer a non-invasive, drug-free option to reduce urine leakage in women with stress urinary incontinence.

What could go wrong

This is a relatively small, early-stage trial with only 96 participants. The sham device may also show some effect, and results may not apply to all patients.
