Summary
This study is testing if a medication called desvenlafaxine can help reduce the severe pain caused by shingles. Researchers want to see if it works better than current pain treatments and is safe for patients. The trial will involve 750 adults who have had a shingles rash for less than 90 days and are experiencing significant pain.
