Summary

This study tests whether the antidepressant desvenlafaxine can safely reduce pain in people with shingles. Researchers will enroll 750 adults who have had a shingles rash for less than 90 days and are experiencing moderate to severe pain. The goal is to see if this medication offers better pain relief than current options.
