Summary

This study looks at how a natural brain chemical called allopregnanolone affects mood and thinking in women going through menopause. Researchers want to understand why some women feel depressed during this time. The study involves 80 healthy women aged 40 to 60 who have depressive symptoms. Participants will take a supplement called pregnenolone and complete questionnaires and tasks to measure changes in mood and behavior.
