Summary

This study looks at how common depression is among healthcare workers in cardiothoracic surgery departments in Baghdad, Iraq. About 200 doctors, nurses, and support staff will fill out a questionnaire called PHQ-9 to measure their depressive symptoms. The goal is to understand the problem and see if certain job roles or personal factors are linked to higher depression levels. No treatment or intervention is given—this is purely an observation.
