Summary

This study is testing a special support program called ENCODE, designed to help family caregivers of hospice patients with dementia. Caregivers are randomly assigned to receive either friendly video calls for social support or the ENCODE program, which teaches skills to manage stress and communicate about patient pain. The goal is to see if the ENCODE program improves caregivers' quality of life and reduces their anxiety and depression.
