First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study explores whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (dTMS) is feasible and tolerable for older adults with mild memory or thinking problems. Thirty participants aged 60-90 will receive one of three types of dTMS coils, and researchers will track side effects, cognitive changes, brain activity, and mood. The goal is to gather preliminary data for a future larger trial comparing this approach to a placebo.
