New microscope could speed up cervical cancer diagnosis in minutes
NCT ID NCT06850402
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a special microscope that takes very clear, detailed pictures of cervical tissue right where the patient is being seen. The goal is to see if it can give doctors the same quality images as a standard lab test, but much faster. About 400 women in Mozambique and Brazil who need a cervical biopsy or a LEEP procedure will take part. The microscope images will be compared to the usual lab results to check for accuracy and safety.
