Sound sleep may sharpen minds in Parkinson's study
NCT ID NCT07441915
First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests whether improving deep sleep with soft sounds can make cognitive training more effective for people with Parkinson's disease and mild cognitive impairment. Fifty participants will do a 5-week brain fitness program at home while using a sleep device that either plays real sounds or a placebo. Researchers will compare changes in thinking skills between the two groups to see if better sleep helps slow cognitive decline.
