Summary

This study tested a drug called decitabine in 21 people with myelofibrosis, a rare bone marrow cancer that causes scarring and severe anemia. The goal was to see if the drug could improve blood counts and reduce the need for transfusions. Decitabine works by reactivating genes that help control cancer cell growth.
