New study tests text messages to reduce drinking harms in young adults
NCT ID NCT06978140
First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tested whether online modules and text messages can help young adults (ages 18-24) who choose to drink have more positive and less harmful experiences. 35 participants were randomly assigned to receive the health messages or just complete surveys. The main goal was to see if the materials were easy to use and acceptable, not to change drinking behavior directly.
