Major trial asks: is radiation necessary for Low-Risk breast lesions?

NCT ID NCT07554573

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at women with a very early form of breast cancer called DCIS. It uses a special test to find those at low risk of the cancer coming back. The goal is to see if these low-risk women can skip radiation therapy after their lump-removal surgery without a meaningful increase in cancer returning in the same breast. About 5,270 women will take part to help doctors personalize treatment.
