First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills group to usual care helps veterans who have attempted suicide and struggle with managing emotions. About 156 veterans at high risk will be randomly assigned to either the DBT group plus standard care or standard care alone. The goal is to see if the group reduces emotional distress and improves coping skills.
