Summary

This study looks at two ways to manage pain during battery replacement surgery for deep brain stimulators in people with Parkinson's disease. Researchers will compare regional anesthesia (numbing a specific area) with general anesthesia (being fully asleep) to see which leads to better pain control and patient satisfaction. About 50 adults aged 40-85 will take part, and their pain will be measured for 24 hours after surgery.
