Tiny radiation seeds take aim at deadly brain cancer

NCT ID NCT06910306

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests a new approach for recurrent glioblastoma, a fast-growing brain cancer. Doctors place tiny radiation-emitting seeds directly into the tumor to kill cancer cells from the inside. The study will include 10 adults whose tumor has come back and is small enough (under 3 cm) but cannot be surgically removed. The main goals are to see if the seeds can be placed safely and to check for side effects.
