Summary

This study follows 217 adults aged 50 and older with or without early to middle dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD) for up to 5 years. Researchers use a 20-40 minute dark adaptation test to measure how quickly eyes recover in low light. The goal is to see if this test can help identify and monitor early AMD before it becomes severe.
