First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This phase 2 trial compares daratumumab and lenalidomide as maintenance therapy for people with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma who have responded well to initial treatment. The main goal is to see which drug provides better health-related quality of life, measured through questionnaires. A sub-study also tests whether a plant-based diet can improve well-being. About 95 participants will be enrolled.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- daratumumab and lenalidomide
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this study could show that daratumumab offers better quality of life during maintenance therapy for multiple myeloma compared to the standard drug lenalidomide.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-phase pilot study, so results may not apply to all patients. The plant-based diet sub-study is exploratory and may not show clear benefits.
