First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether dapagliflozin, a drug used for diabetes, can prevent heart damage caused by a common type of chemotherapy (anthracycline) in women with breast cancer. About 100 participants will take either dapagliflozin or a placebo daily during their chemo. Researchers will use heart ultrasounds and blood tests to see if the drug helps keep the heart and blood vessels healthy.
