First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests whether a drug called dapagliflozin (a diabetes medicine) can reduce the amount of heart muscle damage in people having a severe type of heart attack called STEMI. About 256 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo within 12 hours of their chest pain starting. The main goal is to see if the drug shrinks the size of the heart injury, measured by MRI scans.
