First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested whether dapagliflozin, a drug used for diabetes and heart failure, can improve exercise ability and heart function in 52 adults with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Participants took either the drug or a placebo for a period, and researchers measured changes in peak oxygen use during exercise (VO2 max), walking distance, and blood pressure in the lungs. The goal was to see if this medication could help control the disease and ease symptoms.
