First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests whether dapagliflozin, a drug used for diabetes and heart failure, can lower vein pressure in adults born with a single heart ventricle who had the Fontan procedure. About 27 participants will take the drug or a placebo for 3 months to see if it reduces pressure at rest and during exercise. The goal is to ease symptoms like shortness of breath and improve heart function.
