Dance your stress away: new study tests mindful movement for wellbeing

Summary
This study tests whether a 12-week program combining modern dance with mindfulness practices can improve psychological wellbeing, reduce stress, and enhance body awareness in healthy adults. About 160 recreational dancers will be randomly assigned to either the dance-mindfulness class or a waitlist. The program includes breathing exercises, dance technique, and journaling to help regulate the nervous system and promote happiness.
