New contact lens swap could mean better comfort for aging eyes
NCT ID NCT07638943
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether people who already wear INFUSE One-Day multifocal contact lenses for presbyopia (age-related blurry near vision) feel more comfortable and see better after switching to DAILIES TOTAL1 multifocal lenses. About 30 satisfied lens wearers, aged 40 and older, will wear the new lenses for at least 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, for about 3 weeks. The main goal is to see how many have no dryness or discomfort after 2 weeks on the new prescription.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- DAILIES TOTAL1 Multifocal contact lenses (delefilcon A)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could show that switching to DAILIES TOTAL1 multifocal lenses provides better comfort and vision for people with presbyopia who already wear multifocal contacts.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage study with only 30 participants and no comparison group, so results may not apply to everyone. Some people may not find the new lenses more comfortable.
