Blood test may predict chemo success in older leukemia patients
NCT ID NCT06439199
First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether certain proteins in the blood (called cytokines) can help predict how well patients with acute myeloid leukemia, high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome, or chronic myelomonocytic leukemia will do on a milder type of chemotherapy (azacytidine). Researchers will measure these proteins in 60 adults before and during treatment. The goal is to see if the protein levels are linked to patient outcomes, which could help guide future treatment decisions.
