Blood test may predict chemo success in older leukemia patients

Summary
This study looks at whether measuring certain proteins in the blood (called cytokines) can help predict how patients with acute myeloid leukemia or related blood cancers will do on a milder type of chemotherapy. Researchers will collect blood samples from 60 adults before and during treatment to see if these markers are linked to better or worse outcomes. The goal is to improve treatment decisions for patients who cannot tolerate stronger chemotherapy.
