Brain scan study tests if Quit-Smoking pill cools cravings

Summary

This study aims to understand how a smoking cessation medication called cytisinicline affects the brain's response to smoking triggers. Researchers will enroll 64 adults who smoke daily but are not currently trying to quit. Participants will take either the medication or a placebo for 2-3 weeks, then undergo a brain scan while viewing smoking-related videos to measure changes in brain activity and craving.
