New 'Rug-Weaving' technique shows promise for bladder prolapse repair
NCT ID NCT07336108
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested a new surgical method called the 'rug-weaving plication technique' for treating cystocele (bladder prolapse) in 60 women. It compared this approach to the standard repair surgery, looking at how well the bladder stayed in place and how satisfied patients were after two years. The goal was to see if the new technique could reduce the chance of prolapse coming back.
