First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a fast genetic test can help doctors choose the best antiplatelet medication for people who have had a minor stroke or a high-risk transient ischemic attack (TIA). About 200 adults admitted to the hospital will provide a cheek swab for genetic testing. The goal is to see if results can be returned within 6 hours to guide treatment and reduce the risk of another stroke.
