Summary

This study tested whether adding curcumin (the active compound in turmeric) to the standard medication risperidone could improve quality of life and reduce inflammation in people with schizophrenia. Forty-four men took part and were followed for 8 weeks. The goal was to see if curcumin's anti-inflammatory properties could help ease symptoms and boost well-being.
