Turmeric gel boosts healing after tooth pull, small study finds
NCT ID NCT05816707
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether curcumin (the active part of turmeric) can improve healing of gums and bone after a tooth is pulled. Thirty adults with two badly decayed back teeth each had both teeth removed. One socket received curcumin or a platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) gel, while the other socket healed naturally. Researchers measured soft tissue healing and bone density to see if curcumin helped recovery.
